8mm

April 21, 2009

I’m easily intrigued by things. Lately I’ve been on the hunt for an 8mm video camera, projector, etc. I’m not sure if I’ll shoot video for weddings, but I’d like to at least dip my feet in the water and see what the process is like.

I haven’t had any luck with finding a good 8mm camera, but I was able to find a projector via my friend Jesse. It was at a yard sale for $10. *happy dance*

Here’s the problem. I don’t have any 8mm films to try this thing out with. Maybe you, or someone you know has a stash of old films sitting around? If so, send em my way. We’ll have a vintage movie night at the mancave, complete with popcorn and red carpet.

I did find some films on eBay, but the selection is of course quite thin.

Videography by Silver Media

I/we shoot stills for all the wedding gigs. Now as time moves along and technology keeps on progressing, the line between stills and video are being blurred. I won’t say much but just take a look at the D90, or the 5d Mark II. That aside a good old friend of mine has been shooting wedding videography for a while now, with his latest venture taking place in France. If you need some good kicking awesome wedding videography, give them a shout and tell em I sent you there. I couldn’t decide which video to highlight/show off so I’ll post both. The first is actually of Hurricane Ike & the second is the teaser from France.
