A couple of my friends mentioned a place worth checking out  to photograph at and one of them happened to be the Old Kiokee church in Appling, Georgia. I’d never heard of it – and being in Appling it was out of sight and out of mind. It was rainy – and cold, but worth every gallon of gas it took to get there. This would be absolutely an amazing place to have an outdoor wedding. What’s great about this place is that you could plan the wedding outside, but have a poor-weather option inside the still amazing (so I’m told) Old Kiokee church, which is just up the hill from the amphitheater. Just a random fact, but Kiokee church is the oldest church in Georgia. In fact, I like this place so much that I’ll give you a discount if your ceremony takes place there, but it must occur outside!

The photographs may get us in trouble, to whomever owns the foam target animals, that’s an odd place to store them, but thank you for leaving it unlocked. So behold…. the mock wedding of the Turkey and the boarfox. The cougars are the parents of the turkey and the deer are the parents of the boarfox. The foxboar is the pastor and the bear is the photographer. I hope this makes you laugh. It surely did for us.

Outdoor weddings, I think are worth the risk. Imagine this decorated tastefully.

An old tree. A new assistant. More to come in the future.

Old Kiokee - your potential foul weather plan b?

Imagine this during fall. Filled with family and friends.

See, this would be so much prettier with real people and maybe fall leaves?

This afternoon, while borrowing my neighbor’s wireless signal I began to look around for some online print-order-form soltuions, while still staying away from an online e-cart solution. I just don’t think they’re necessary at this point. As we know, Google is taking over the world. I began to hunt for some spreadsheet solutions and came across a nice wedding oriented template:

Wedding planning spreadsheet: While I’m no where near getting hitched myself, I found this planner spreadsheet to be quite cool and useful. See the template preview here.

I never found the photography spreadsheet, but it won’t be too hard to just build one myself either. Anway, all ye wedding planners / brides / bride’s family you may find that thing useful! The rest are here…
In other news I forgot to post an image from the Well’s friday night live music series. Hannah Miller played the other friday night and we were treated to some gooooo(x10)d music. If you’re into nice live music, but not into the bar scene the Well is the place to be. Find out more…
I won’t be able to make the next show. I’m taking a short vacation to San Diego to say hey to some friends, meet some new ones and enjoy 2 days of music at Street Scene
