Danielle & Eric

Danielle and I ran in the same group of friends while attending Berry College. We became good friends and would keep up on and off after we graduated. She ended up moving to California to work with a touring acting company and somehow bumped into her (now) husband Eric. I was excited for Danielle when I heard she was engaged and even happier when she booked us for their wedding in Versailles, Kentucky. It was my 2nd time to Versailles, for you see a few years back I photographed my first real client Drew & Nicole. They were also my first wedding album ( I think I made it with iPhoto or Aperture ). I loved going back to Versailles, as it’s filled with bourbon distilleries, rolling hills, twisty roads and now several awesome friend/clients!

Gainsborough Farm

Prior to Danielle & Eric’s wedding, we toured Gainsborough Farm in Versailles, Kentucky. It is a beautiful farm. I just wish I could go back there and photograph it early in the morning and catch some gorgeous morning light ( does anyone have connections with Sheik Mohammed for me? ) I’m told weddings do happen there, which would also be a-mazing to photograph.

Meet Anne & Robert

I can only imagine what it’s going to be like this new years eve for their wedding. It’ll be a big party with family and friends for sure (she’s one of 12!). Robert proposed to Anne alongside the Savannah River, so we did their session downtown on the Georgia side. It was fun taking photos there. I think people thought they were famous once I pulled out the flash & softbox. By the time we were done, it was dark which made for some nice silhouettes of the cute couple. Enjoy you two!

iPhone stuff

I like taking pictures with the iPhone4. It does a good job for what it is and doesn’t weight a gazillion pounds like my big camera. Enjoy some of my personal favorites taken in the past two months.

Becky & Clifton

I had an awesome morning with Becky & Clifton making photographs in the Claxton/Statesboro area. It was an EARLY start around 5am (in order to get down there in time for early morning light), but it was 100% worth it. It was so hot that we ended up jumping in the neighborhood fountain. I’m told that was against the law, but the clear cool water was far too inviting to not cool off in.

Leigh & Scott – sneak peek

Leigh & Scott whisked us away to North Myrtle Beach for their wedding, but before that we did a quick engagement session right across the river in North Augusta. Rain always makes for lovely pictures (and is welcomed in this summertime heat). Here’s just a few goodies from the many many photographs shot for their family in and out-of-town. Ruth & Jerry – married at 83

Long story short, my grandmother Ruth and Jerry were married on Tuesday. They met at Cumberland Village in Aiken and were wed at Millbrook Baptist Church in Aiken. This all went down at 2pm. My girlfriend and I were the only ones present, besides the pastor. My grandmother and Jerry wanted to keep things simple and low-key. For those that don’t know, my grandmother raised me since I was a baby. Effectively, she is whom I call mom and grandma. I believe I was only four weeks (or four months) old when she became my mother. I love her and am forever thankful. It was so great to spend a couple hours photographing for her and Jerry (and for the rest of our families). July is the busiest time of the year for me, so to have the free-time to witness and record such a wedding is such a blessing. I hope you enjoy these as much as we did. Check back in a day or two for the video (if I can ever figure out how to upload it).

Carmen & Mark – day after

This is really a little over a year after. I shot their wedding near Savannah sometime ago, but it rained the day-of and was just too hot and miserable to shoot outside. So fast forward to a few days ago and this is a taste of what we came up with. The cabin was built by her parents some twenty years ago, which they also spent their honeymoon in. How neat! Oak Hill is available for weddings, and I’ll gladly attend any more weddings that occur here. (their wedding)
