A couple of my friends mentioned a place worth checking out  to photograph at and one of them happened to be the Old Kiokee church in Appling, Georgia. I’d never heard of it – and being in Appling it was out of sight and out of mind. It was rainy – and cold, but worth every gallon of gas it took to get there. This would be absolutely an amazing place to have an outdoor wedding. What’s great about this place is that you could plan the wedding outside, but have a poor-weather option inside the still amazing (so I’m told) Old Kiokee church, which is just up the hill from the amphitheater. Just a random fact, but Kiokee church is the oldest church in Georgia. In fact, I like this place so much that I’ll give you a discount if your ceremony takes place there, but it must occur outside!

The photographs may get us in trouble, to whomever owns the foam target animals, that’s an odd place to store them, but thank you for leaving it unlocked. So behold…. the mock wedding of the Turkey and the boarfox. The cougars are the parents of the turkey and the deer are the parents of the boarfox. The foxboar is the pastor and the bear is the photographer. I hope this makes you laugh. It surely did for us.

Outdoor weddings, I think are worth the risk. Imagine this decorated tastefully.

An old tree. A new assistant. More to come in the future.

Old Kiokee - your potential foul weather plan b?

Imagine this during fall. Filled with family and friends.

See, this would be so much prettier with real people and maybe fall leaves?

The foam target-practice mock wedding.

The hogfox and turkey were about to kiss.

I assume this is the baptismal? If so, I don't think you should get in that water.
